Zoe was our first senior doe, kindly sold to me by Joanne Karohl of Dragonfly Farm. She is an attentive and careful mother; even now her daughter Zephyr is still close to her. Her dam Ariadne had a great year this year, finishing her MCH and scoring an EEEE 91. Her sire, Gabriel Oak, finished his MCH at 3 years old and is owned by Bonnie Chandler. Zoe milked 3.5lbs (6% butterfat) at 3 years old for her star in 2005. She has particularly soft and milkable teats which her daughter Zephyr inherited.
Zoe loves to be a mother; in the few years she has not had kids of her own and has tried cunningly to adopt any kid she can, even if the kid has a perfectly good mother already. She kidded again this Super Bowl Sunday with two identical chami kids, boy and girl and is still looking a little Roger Rabbit-like now, a week later, but is clearly thrilled with her two babies.
